20 years in design strategy. I lead teams to solve complex, multidimensional challenges and create direction from ambiguity.

Currently I’m a UX Lead at Nordstrom. I’m also a public speaker, UX instructor with The University of Washington, and a UX mentor at The School of Visual Concepts.

I use my passion to build teams, represent the user, and achieve the balance between business and customer goals.

Research + Design = Success
I’m driven by those three words. As a UX leader, I use research and data to design solutions to deliver success. Essentially, I make experiences easier for customers to achieve business goals.

My passions and skills.
My expertise starts with strategy and research, continues through full stack UX, visual design, and even some motion graphics. I lead teams to plan and design successful responsive sites and mobile apps. I bring strategy, user advocacy, and technical wisdom to help define roadmaps. Below are some of my strengths I use to achieve product goals:

RESEARCH: Competitive Analysis, Content Audits, A/B Testing, IA, Human Centered Design, Prototypes, Card Sorting, Site Maps, Personas, User Flows, Wireframes, InVision, and Axure RP
DESIGN: Responsive, iOS and Android Apps, Figma, Sketch, Zeplin, Adobe CC, Abstract, and Design Systems
DEV: CSS, JavaScript, HTML, XML, Inspect Element, Veeva iRep, SalesForce CRM, GitHub, Agile Development, and Jira
MOTION (extra fun stuff): After Effects, Trapcode, and Cinema 4D

The Future!
I’m looking for a challenging (and fun) environment. I’m passionate to keep growing, absorbing, and pushing the boundaries of convention and technology.

I thrive with a high-level of autonomy and love being a part of the full storytelling process from strategy through executional oversight. My goal is to join a team that helps people through a better interface or a compelling brand story.
